According to the Orlando Sentinel, from Monday April 3, significant changes will be made to the security and bag check at Magic Kingdom. While the checks first took place at the entrance of the Magic Kingdom, security check will now be done at the Transportation and Ticket Center(TTC).

Along with this change, hotel guests staying at Disney’s Contemporary, Grand Floridian and Polynesian resorts will already go through security before they get onto the Monorail. In emailed statement to the Orlando Sentinel, Disney mentioned that this is “an ongoing effort to enhance the arrival experience for guests at the entrance to Magic Kingdom Park.”

Having been to Magic Kingdom a few times, we experienced how busy it can get at times. Offloading some of the security checks to other locations can really help move things along smoothly.
