First Shanghai Disney Resort 2018 Disney Inspiration Run

Shanghai Disney Resort announced today that the resort will host its first-ever Disney Inspiration Run on September 15-16 2018, bringing runners a spectacular resort-wide race in an immersive environment and a unique run experience that only Disney can offer. In collaboration with Shanghai International Marathon, registration for this debut event will begin in July, introducing the family-friendly athletic event filled with Disney magic and fun to guests of all ages in Mainland China.

The 2018 Disney Inspiration Run
The 2018 Disney Inspiration Run will offer 10K, 5K and 3.5K running routes, providing something for everyone who wants to participate in this first-of-its kind race in Shanghai. The three routes will all extend across Shanghai Disney Resort, including Shanghai Disneyland theme park, Disneytown and areas around Wishing Star Lake, immersing participants in the signature Disney storytelling environment. Beloved Disney characters might also make surprise appearances to cheer for runners in a uniquely Disney way. Official registration for the 2018 Disney Inspiration Run at Shanghai Disney Resort will begin in July, and more information will be announced by the resort in the coming months.
Disney-Themed Races around the world
Disney-themed destination races have enjoyed a long heritage and huge popularity around the world. The first Disney running event was launched in 1994 in Orlando, and since then, running through Disney theme parks has been adored by hundreds of thousands of Disney fans and sports enthusiasts worldwide. Running events have been successfully held at Disney destinations in Paris, Hong Kong, and across the United States before now coming to Shanghai.
Co-organized with Shanghai International Marathon
The 2018 Disney Inspiration Run will be co-organized by Shanghai Disney Resort and the Shanghai International Marathon, and will be undertaken by Shanghai Donghao Lansheng Event Management Company Limited. The collaboration with the Shanghai International Marathon – the long-time organizer of marathon events in the city – will help to offer running enthusiasts and Disney fans of all ages a quality and fun event and create memories that will last a lifetime.
