Wie Disneyland Paris sich dem Pride Month 2021 angeschlossen hat

In diesem Monat hat sich Disneyland Paris einer weltweiten Aktion angeschlossen, um LGBTQ+-Themen anzuerkennen, sich zu engagieren und das Bewusstsein dafür zu schärfen – als Teil der laufenden Bemühungen des Resorts, eine Kultur der Inklusion zu fördern, in der jeder willkommen ist.
Das Resort startete am 1. Juni mit einer Pride-Tanz-Challenge, bei der Gäste, Fans und sogar Cast-Mitglieder aufgefordert wurden, ihre eigenen Versuche einzureichen, ein choreografiertes Video nachzustellen, um ihre Unterstützung für die LGBTQ+ Community zu zeigen. Der exklusive neue Song mit dem Titel “Around the World” hat den ganzen Monat über alle auf den Beinen gehalten.
Mit der Veröffentlichung der Rainbow Disney Collection im gesamten Resort und auf shopDisney.com hatten die Gäste eine weitere Gelegenheit, ihre Unterstützung stilvoll zu zeigen, von Trikots über Rucksäcke bis hin zu Pins und mehr. Als Anerkennung für die Kollektion spendet The Walt Disney Company Geld an Organisationen, die LGBTQ+ Gemeinschaften unterstützen, darunter MAG Jeunes LGBT in Frankreich, Diversity Role Models in Großbritannien, ARELAS in Spanien, diversity München e.V. in Deutschland und Famiglie Arcobaleno in Italien.
Der Pride Month war auch eine Gelegenheit, unsere Disney PRIDE BERG – kurz für ‘Business Employee Resource Group’ – mit einer unglaublichen Gruppe von Cast Members aus allen Abteilungen und Ebenen des Unternehmens vorzustellen, die jeden Tag daran arbeiten, das Bewusstsein für LGBTQ+-Themen zu schärfen, indem sie wichtige Aktionen und Veranstaltungen organisieren und unterstützen.
Die größte Aktivierung von allen war eine virtuelle Pride-Konferenz am 29. Juni, die Cast-Mitglieder, Verbände und Mitglieder der LGBTQ+-Community zusammenbrachte, um über Themen wie gleichgeschlechtliche Familien, Verbündete, Diskriminierung und Geschlechtsidentität zu sprechen. Als Konferenz zum Internationalen Frauentag im März war diese exklusive Veranstaltung eine wichtige Gelegenheit, neue Stimmen zu hören und zu einem Tag der Diskussion, des Lernens und des positiven Impulses für die Zukunft zusammenzukommen. Bei der diesjährigen Veranstaltung trugen viele französische Verbände wertvolle Erkenntnisse bei, wie MAG Jeunes LGBT, ADFH, Association Contact, Le collectif Famille.s, Respect Zone und ACVS-49.
Um den Kontakt zu den Communities weiter auszubauen, lud Disneyland Paris letzte Woche 40 Mitglieder von MAG Jeunes LGBT ein, einen Tag voller Magie in den Parks zu erleben, gefolgt von der Möglichkeit, während der Pride-Konferenz gemeinsam mit unseren Cast Members zuzuhören und zu lernen.
Auch die Gäste des Disneyland Parks erlebten gestern eine lustige Überraschung, als Mickey und Minnie in farbenfrohen Kostümen zum Thema “Around the World” durch den Park tanzten und feierten – ein epischer Abschluss des Monats.
Heute ist der letzte Tag der weltweiten Pride-Month-Feierlichkeiten, doch das Engagement von Disneyland Paris für Vielfalt und Inklusion geht das ganze Jahr über weiter – mit wirkungsvollen Initiativen und Veranstaltungen, die Cast-Mitglieder, Gäste und Gemeinden einbeziehen.
