While persistently coming back during hurricane season, this is a myth. While parts of the castle like the spires can be removed, the rest of the castle will stay where it is. Removing the spires takes several days and is not done for each inbound hurricane. The castle was built to withstand winds of over 110 mph.
The myth itself started after a photo was shared showing the castle being constructed. The photo was taken the moment the entire top spire was being lifted into place. And there you have your hurricane rumor.
