Luca-kamer opent in Bella Notte Disneyland Parijs

In Fantasyland is de kamer met het thema Luca in Bella Notte geopend voor het publiek. Deze nieuwe eetzaal, die Fantasia Gelati vervangt, is een uitbreiding van de Pizzeria Bella Notte, die dient als een eerbetoon aan Italië met knipogen naar twee klassieke Disney-verhalen: “Lady and the Tramp” en “Fantasia”. Imagineers maakten van de gelegenheid gebruik om de storytelling uit te breiden door de sfeer en warmte van de Italiaanse Rivièra op te roepen, waardoor Disney en Pixar’s “Luca” tegelijkertijd een plons konden maken!
Om de authenticiteit te waarborgen, werkten Imagineers nauw samen met Pixar-tekenaars aan de uitbreiding van Luca’s wereld gedurende het hele project. Samen ontwikkelden ze een exclusieve, originele muurschildering met het favoriete zeemonster van de fans aan de kust van Portorosso als het ware middelpunt van dit nieuwe verhaal.
De teams Walt Disney Imagineering Paris hebben zich laten inspireren door werkplaatsen waar vissers hun boten repareren, maar met een twist, want de binnenruimte is opnieuw ingericht om dorpelingen te verwelkomen, waardoor het de perfecte plek is om te genieten van Italiaanse specialiteiten! Overal is aandacht voor detail, met meer dan 60 rekwisieten en accessoires die speciaal voor deze nieuwe ruimte zijn gemaakt, allemaal gericht op de plaatselijke visserijcultuur en keuken. Dit is inclusief alle favoriete ingrediënten voor het maken van pasta en kookgerei van chef-kok Massimo! Gasten zullen ook de duikhelm zien die Luca gebruikte om de Portorosso Cup race te winnen!
Het nautische thema stopt niet bij het interieur; het is ook te zien op de buitengevel. Kijk uit, want verschillende knipogen naar “It’s a small world”, dat net om de hoek ligt en 5 mei heropent, zijn zorgvuldig gemaakt door Imagineers! Een ander passend eerbetoon aan het werk van Mary Blair is het vloermozaïek op de oorspronkelijke buitenplaats van Pizzeria Bella Notte, dat stukjes bevat van een lang vervlogen muurschildering die zij ontwierp voor Tomorrowland in Disneyland.
