Things to know when Disneyland Paris opens (again)

Disneyland Paris will reopen its gates again on June 17, 2021 after the resort was closed last October. Read our review of when the resort opened back in July 2020. Below a list of things to keep in mind for when the resort opens. Do note that while we do our best to update this list as good possible, it could be that things change last minute.Table of Contents
Safety and Health Measures
Just like the first time the resort reopened, safety and health measures will be enforced. As authorities recommend the wearing of an appropriate face covering in public spaces, Disneyland Paris asks all guests ages 6 and older to do so.When will the Disney hotels open?
When you are looking for accommodation when you visit Disneyland Paris, it is good to know that not all hotels will open at the same time. For partner hotels we recommend you check their website, but Disneyland Paris Resort hotels will open as followed:- Disney’s Newport Bay Club hotel – June 17, 2021
- Disneyland Hotel – No opening date yet (refurbishment announced)
- Disney’s Hotel New York – The Art of Marvel – June 21, booking starts on May 18
- Disney’s Sequoia Lodge – No opening date yet
- Disney’s Hotel Cheyenne – July 1, 2021
- Disney’s Hotel Santa Fe- No opening date yet
- Disney’s Davy Crockett – July 13, 2021
Park Entry and Capacity
The number of guests allowed in to the park will be reduced at first. When you have an Annual Pass or an undated ticket, you need to register your entrance ticket. The overall capacity will be limited to 28,000 guests. At the moment it seems that all available slots have been handed out, but more might become available closer to the date you want to visit as capacity is added, or reservations are cancelled.Restrictions for AP reservations
The resort has announced that reservations made for Annual Passes will be restricted. Each Annual Pass can hold three active reservations. Any extra days will be automatically cancelled.AP Preview Days
June 15 and June 16 will be AP preview days. Annual Pass holders will be able to visit the parks ahead of its reopening on June 17. Registration for these days will open on June 1.Annual Pass Extension
Your Annual Pass will be extended with the number of days the resort was closed. The additional days will be added in the days after the opening announcement. Read more about what to expect on your Annual Pass Extension here.Park Hours
While we advise you to check openings hours before you arrive at the resort, the following hours are currently posted for when the resort opens on June 17:- Disneyland Park: 9.30am to 8.00pm (Extra Magic Time: 8.30 – 9.30am)
- Walt Disney Studios Park: 9.30am to 6.00pm
New Theme Song
Announced during the 29th Anniversary broadcast, Disneyland Paris will receive a new theme song to welcome guests back to the resort.Restaurants
The following restaurants will remain closed while the others will be open. Also here we advise you to check the Disneyland Paris app to make sure you have the latest information.- Restaurants Toad Hall (will remain closed)
- Fuente Del Oro (will remain closed)
- Auberge de Cendrillon (will remain closed)
- Silver Spur (will remain closed)
- Walt’s (will remain closed)
Disney Village
Disney Village will operate from 4.00 to 9.00pm except for Annette’s Diner.Attractions
At the moment it is not clear which attractions will be open or closed. Cars Road Trip will open when Walt Disney Studios Park opens to guests. “Dream Factory” the new show at Studio D (Walt Disney Studios Park) is set to open on July 1, 2021.Standby Pass
Returning from last year is Standby Pass. While Fastpasses are currently not available, standby pass will help you minimize the time you have to wait inline at several attractions. The following attractions are part of standby pass:Disneyland Park

- Star Wars Hyperspace Mountain
- Autopia
Walt Disney Studios Park
- The Twilight Zone Tower of TerrorTM

Shows and Performances
At the moment, when the resort opens no shows and other performances will be available. This means that for the time being there won’t be a parade or a fireworks show to end the day.Selfie Spots and Character Meet ‘n Greets
During the 29th Anniversary broadcast it was announced that selfie spots and the adjusted Character Meet ‘n Greets would return. Closer the reopening the resort announced that the following Selfie Spots will be available. It is good to know that Lineberty will not be used for queueing.Disneyland Park

- Far West legend selfie spot (near Cowboy Cookout Barbecue) NEW
- Selfie Spot with Mickey and the gang

Walt Disney Studios
The following selfie spots will be available at Walt Disney Studios Park:- Magical Selfie Moments at Animagique Theater
- Kingdom of Arendelle Enchanted Moments at Animation Celebration
- Frosted selfie spot at Animation Celebration
- Heroic Experience at Studio Theater
- Disney and Pixar selfie spot NEW : new design to meet our Pixar pals
