Dit initiatief maakt deel uit van resortacties voor het milieu, die de 2030 milieudoelstellingen van The Walt Disney Company ondersteunen. Deze constructie, die in 2020 begon als een co-investering met de Franse groep Urbasolar, zal 11.200 parkeerplaatsen omvatten, waaronder plekken voor auto&#8217;s, campers en bussen wanneer het klaar is. De installatie biedt al extra belevingsverbeteringen voor gasten, zoals schaduw en beschutting tegen direct zonlicht, regen of sneeuw. Dit ambitieuze project zal 36 GWh per jaar produceren, gelijk aan het verbruik van een stad met 17.400 inwoners. Het zal de uitstoot van broeikasgassen op het grondgebied van Val d&#8217;Europe met ongeveer 890 ton CO2 per jaar verminderen. Het derde deel van de centrale is nu operationeel en produceert 27 GWh aan energie dankzij de 63.000 zonnepanelen die al ge\u00efnstalleerd zijn. Dit betekent een aanzienlijke bijdrage aan de vermindering van het energieverbruik en de uitstoot voor directe activiteiten. Met dit initiatief, dat in sommige bungalows wordt gebruikt, kunnen gasten hun water- en elektriciteitsverbruik tijdens hun verblijf regelen.<\/p>\n<h2>Een sterke focus op materialen, afval en circulaire economie<\/h2>\n<p>In overeenstemming met de Franse en Europese regelgeving op het gebied van anti-afvalpraktijken en de circulaire economie, heeft Disneyland Paris acties ontwikkeld zoals de inzet van herbruikbaar servies in alle quick-service restaurants. Met duizenden werknemers die in operationele gebieden werken en een aanzienlijke hoeveelheid kleding gebruiken, heeft het resort een recyclingbeleid om de stof van kostuums te hergebruiken zodra ze niet meer gedragen kunnen worden. Dit komt neer op een jaarlijkse recyclingdoelstelling van 50.000 kledingstukken per jaar. Upcycling zal in de toekomst steeds belangrijker worden om afval te verminderen en duurzaamheid van hulpbronnen te bevorderen. Dit volgt op het succesvolle upcyclen van het zeil dat werd gebruikt tijdens de renovatie van het kasteel van Doornroosje in 2022.<\/p>\n<h2>Watervoorraden behouden en verbruik optimaliseren: 4 miljoen kubieke meter drinkwater bespaard sinds 2013 door een afvalwaterzuiveringsinstallatie<\/h2>\n<p>Disneyland Parijs was het eerste themapark in Europa dat zichzelf in 2013 voorzag van een eigen afvalwaterzuiveringsinstallatie voor zijn twee parken en het Disneyland Hotel. Vijfennegentig procent van het gezuiverde water wordt hergebruikt voor verschillende doeleinden, zoals het besproeien van landschappen of het reinigen van wegen en trottoirs. Om onnodig water geven te voorkomen, gebruiken de tuinbouwteams een &#8216;beredeneerd irrigatiesysteem&#8217;, wat betekent dat de juiste hoeveelheid water wordt gebruikt op basis van de behoeften van de planten. Een succesvolle testperiode in het voorjaar van 2022 toonde aan dat dit leuke systeem met van kleur veranderende douchekoppen hielp om het waterverbruik in douches met wel 22% te verminderen.<\/p>\n<h2>Biodiversiteit beschermen en stimuleren door 450 hectare aan groene ruimten<\/h2>\n<p>Disneyland Parijs richt zich al lang op het behoud van de biodiversiteit binnen het resort en wil kinderen en volwassenen bewust maken van het belang van milieubehoud.
